Lesson 4 of 7
In Progress

Setting Up & Connecting Your Cricut

Step 1: In the top right of the Design Space Home page click on your name. A dropdown menu will appear. Click on Settings.

Step 2: In the new window click on the second tab ‘Machines’, and click the Start button next to New Product Setup.

Step 3: Select your Cricut model and then follow the on-screen instructions to set it up.

Once your Cricut is plugged in and turned on, the next step is to connect it to your computer. If you have a Maker 3 you will be given the choice between Bluetooth and USB, we recommend using USB.

Step 4: Plug the USB cable into your Cricut (next to the power inlet), and plug the other end into your computer.

Step 5: Locate your Cricut from the drop-down menu, then click Continue.

Step 6: Tick the checkbox and click Activate.

Step 7: Setup is now complete. Click Next. On the next screen you can choose if you want to subscribe to Cricut Access. You don’t need to, and can always choose to at a later point.

Next: Design Space will suggest doing a test cut. We recommend going ahead with it. Learn how on the next page.
