Lesson 4 of 6
In Progress

Step 4: Assembling the Flowers

1: We are going to add a little bit of character to the different flowers, for this you can use INK, markers, paint or leave them plain if you want.

For most of them I’m going to use some ink on the borders from both sides, we really like how they look with a little bit of color on the borders, this makes a look more realistic:

Before using Ink on Daisies:

After using Ink on both sides:

Before using Ink on the roses:

After:

For the spiral carnations, we decided to use a Cricut marker in silver color on both sides, to give them a different touch:

Before using the marker:

After using the marker:

2: When we are done with the embellishment for our different flowers and leaves, we can start assembling them. So we are going to start with the ones that have a spiral shape.

CARNATIONS Spiral shape:

1: We are going to start adding some movement to our petals, for this you can use a score pen, your fingers or tweezers. You are going to hold each petal gently and you are going to use the tweezers in our case to do like a wave share to the different petals.

After doing the whole spiral you should have something similar to this:

2:When we are done with the movement of our petals, we are going to start rolling them from the outside to the inside. You can use your fingers, a score pen, a brochette stick, a pen or anything with a round shape that is going to help you roll the flowers.

When you finish the whole spiral, you should have something like this at the bottom of our flower:

And something like this at the top:

You are going to glue the bottom with the circle and press a couple of seconds. After it is well glued, you can move the petals and the flowers to arrange them a little bit as you like.

Daisies Spiral shape:

1: For the daisies there is no need to use tweezers to give some movement to the petals.

2: You are going to proceed assembling the daisies the same as with the carnations in spiral shape with the different daisies.

Roses:

1: you are going to grab each individual petal and glue the bottom of it, one side over the other, like:

After you glue all the bottoms, you should have the following:

2: We are going to separate the petals in 3 groups, big, medium and small petals. And we are going to grab our hexagon and we are going to glue the bottom of the petals into the hexagon:

3: Now, we are going to glue the medium size petals:

4: And now, we are going to proceed with the small ones:

5: We are now going to grab the 3 different flowers that are related to the Rose, to create the center of this flower.

First the smallest one,  we are going to front and glue on the outer sides 2 of the parts that are facing each other, and then we are going to wrap those 2 with the other 2 petals.

Then we are going to grab the middle size one, we are going to glue the middle and place the small one over it and then we are going to wrap it with the petals:

And now, we are going to grab the biggest one and proceed the same as previously, we are going to glue the middle and then wrap the center with the the petals:

6: finally we are going to place the center over the rest of our rose, with glue in the center, you should have something like:

Carnations Petal shape:

1: After adding the embellishment, in our case some ink, we are going to grab the tweezers and we are going to generate some movements on each of the different layers of the petals:

After adding some movement you should have something like:

2: Then we are going to glue them from bottom to top (from number 1 to number 7)

After the seventh layer, you should have something like:

3: Now, you are going to grab the whole flower and kind of squeeze it all together and then with your fingers gently spread the petals from each other a little bit:

And the final result should be something like:
