Lesson 2 of 8
In Progress

Step 1.2: Create The Flowers

💡Tip: You can use the same canvas as your base, or create a new project.

1: We are going to upload all the following images:

All the flowers should already have the measurement that fits our design, so there is no need to resize them, unless you use a bigger or smaller Floral Foam Hemisphere.

You can change the colors in your Design based on the papers that you are going to use, or you can just use the paper of the color and there is no need to change it on the design.

2: We are going to ensure the measurements are the ones that we want/need and also which colors we are going to use as a reference.

  • Leaves: W: 3” and H: 3.02”
    • We are going to use 5 pairs of leaves all with the same size and color (5 of each type)
  • Carnations: W: 7.5” and H: 9.02”
    • We are going to use 4 carnations in the following colors:  pink, orange, light blue and blue
  • Daisies: W: 3.5” and H: 3.1”
    • We are going to use 5 and all in the same color, in our case a very light pink

💡Tip: Remember that the size that we are arranging the flowers are based on the hemisphere, also you can add more or less flowers, different sizes or other flowers that you like.

  • Dahlia: W: 4.66” and H: 3”
    • We are going to use 6 in the following colors: 2 yellow (using two shades of yellow), 2 blue (using two shades of blue), 1 pink ((using two shades of pink), 1 blue and yellow (1 layer of each color)
  • Gardenia: W: 7.56” and H: 9.67”
    • We are going to use 5 in the following colors: 1 yellow, 1 blue, 1 orange, 1 light pink, 1 fuchsia or dark pink

3: For some of the flowers we are going to use the green parts,BUT not for all of them, if you want to avoid using the greenery,  because they are not going be as much visible, you have 2 options:

A- At the moment of the cut, you just ignore the green mat in where the leaves are showing

B- You choose the flower, and then in the layers section you click on the small eye icon that is showing next to the green parts and you hide it.

After you click on the eye icon, you should see something like:

💡Tip: Remember to click on save button every time that you add a new element or do any change.
