Step 1: Upload the Designs

1: In order to be able to start our Design, we are going to access our Design Space application and in there we are going to click on the + New Project Green button located on the top Right corner of our screen.

2: After we clicked in there, we are going to be able to access our Blank Canvas, in where we are going to start creating our Design:

3: We are going to start by uploading the SVG files related to the cloud.

There are 20 SVG files that you need to upload one file at a time. Use this link to download the zip file.

Once downloaded you’ll need to unzip the file in order to release all 20 SVGs.

Each File has the color related to the section of the cloud, you can change them as you like directly with the cardstock that you are going to cut.

To upload them we are going to click on upload functionality 

You are going to click on Upload Image and choose the SVG File that you are going to upload and you should be able to see something like this:

Click on Continue and then click on Upload:

💡Tip: We recommend to upload one or two of the SVG files and do the whole process, that we are going to explaining in the following steps, and then repeat the process with other 2 files and so on until you are done, since the files are heavy.

4: We are going to have now the section of our design in our Canvas:

💡Tip: DO NOT RESIZE the design, since each part is correlative with the next one, so if you change the size of any of the files, is going to affect the final product.

5: At this point you have 2 options on how you are going to CUT the design:

A- Print Then Cut: we recommend this option. For this option, you need to use a scoring board and score each pieces by hand, so is more time consuming (1 – 1.5 minutes per piece more or less minutes), also for this option you need to use 8” x 11” size cardstock .To continue with this process go to Step 6 to Step 9 

B- Draw, Score and Cut: this option is more complete than the print then cut, but since the numbers are small, it is hard to see them when they are drawn.  You can use full mat cardstock (12” x 12”). To continue with this process go to Step 10 to Step 13

This is based on your preference, we are going to explain how to proceed with both options.

6: Print Then Cut Option: For this you are going to select the file that you just added, go to the operations functionality in the top menu bar and in there choose Print then Cut option.

7: Now we are going to select the design, and click on Flatten functionality:

After this, you should have something like:

8: For the print then cut processes, as you may know, the design needs to have particular dimensions, since not the 100% of the sheet is able to be printed and the cut. So, in this case, we need to upload all the designs to the same canvas, you should be able to see something like:

9: Now, we are going to select all the elements, and resizing them by overlapping the mouse on one of the corners and dragging the size to the elements until the “warning” icon on the right side disappears:

After this, you are ready to start the cutting process!

10: Draw, Score and Cut Option: For every file, you are going to see inside the Group section, 3 different sections as follow:

11: You are going to select the first Group, and using the operations functionality you are going to change the operation from Basic Cut to Pen:

After you change the operation, you should be able to see:

💡Tip: If you select the whole group, all the internal components are going to be affected too.

12: For the second group, the lines, we are going to choose the Score functionality, after you change them to scoring, you should be able to see the following:

13: For the third group, the basic shapes, we are going to choose basic cut:

14: After you change the 3 operations, you are going to select the whole group and attach them, this is to make sure that the machine knows where it needs to be drawn and scored. After you attach them, you should be able to see something like this:

At this point, you are able to proceed with the cutting process.
