Lesson 2 of 6
In Progress

Step 2: Cut The Design

1: You can save your design, to avoid losing any of the changes that you already made.

2: We are going to click on Make button and start cutting the design:

If you choose the Print then Cut option, go to Step 3 to Step 7.

If you choose the Draw, Score and Cut option, go to Step 8 to Step 10.

3: We are going to see the design on the screen and in there click on continue button to start with the Printing process:

4: We are going to send the design to the printer, we are going to turn off the bleeding and we are going to click continue.

Remember to add the same cardstock that you are going to cut later with your cricut machine.

💡Tip: Make sure that adjust your printing setting based on your printer.

5: After the Printed cardstock is ready, we can proceed with the Cut process, we are going to place the cardstock on the mat, we are going to choose the Light Cardstock material and default pressure

💡Tip: If you are using other type of cardstock, make sure to select the right configuration before start cutting.

💡IMPORTANT: Make sure to add the design exactly the same as is looking on the preview on the left side of your screen if not, the machine is going to cut on the wrong place and you are going to end with something like this:

6: The machine is going to start scanning and then is going to proceed with the cut.

7: After the cut is done, you are going to have something like this:

You can proceed with the next file and apply the same process until all the files are cut.

8: If you choose the Draw, Score and Cut process, after you click on make and then on continue, at this point you are going to choose cardstock type and the scoring tooling that you are going to use:

We are going to choose the Light Cardstock material and default pressure

And in our case we are using the scoring stylus or scoring pen:

After you choose the resources that you are going to use,  you are going to be able to see the following:

9: After the scoring process is done, at this point you are going to change the scoring tool and add the pen.

💡Tip: You can use any color of pen, we recommend the 0.4 fine point for better results.

10: After drawing is done, the machine is going to start cutting, and as a result you should have something like:

You can proceed with the next file and apply the same process until all the files are cut.
