Lesson 4 of 5
In Progress

Step 4: Applying the Design and Etching

1: Before placing the design over the glass, make sure to clean the glass using the cleaning cloth and alcohol and let it dry for a couple of seconds.

2: We are going to place the design over the glass. You need to make sure that on the border between the glass and the design that you want to etch should be no bubbles, the rest of the design can have bubbles or wrinkles.

💡Tip: If the space after the design to the glass is small, we suggest to use masking tape to avoid the cream touching the rest of the glass.

3: Once the vinyl is placed on the glass, we can start with the etching process.

CAUTION!: Use gloves and avoid contact with skin / eyes. Please read carefully the instructions about the cream on the product package.

Use the foam bush, and apply the cream over the whole surface. You can add extra cream, since you can remove the excess and re-use it.

4: After you apply the cream, set a timer for no more than 15-20 minutes. In our case we leave the cream for 3:20 minutes.

5: After the time is done, wearing gloves, you can remove the excess of the cream by using the same brush, after this, you are going to wash the glass with a lot of water and remove the vinyl from the glass and let it air dry.

💡Tip: You can clean the brush with water and let it dry after each use.

6: Once your glass is dry, you can start using it!!!! You did it!!!!!
