Lesson 1 of 4
In Progress

Step 1: Create the Design

1: In order to be able to start our Design, we are going to access our Design

Space application and in there we are going to click on the + New Project Green button located on the top Right corner of our screen.

2: After we clicked in there, we are going to be able to access our Blank Canvas, in where we are going to start creating our Design:

3: We are going to use the Images functionality to add an easter egg that is going to emulate our physical egg:

💡Tip: Since we are not going to cut it, we can use any of the eggs even the ones that needs to be purchased.

We are going to resize it based on our actual physical egg, in our case:

4: After installing the font, we are going to write the word EASTER, but one letter at the time:

💡Tip: Remember to have your design space close when installing the font.

5: We are going to resize each of the letters to the size that we want them to be cut:

💡Tip: Remember that you can resize them by using the font size or the size of the W and H.

6: After all the letters are resized we are going to change the color to black, remember that you can use any color that you want!,

7: Our first design is ready!!!!!

OPTIONAL:

We are going to create two different designs since our eggs are the same on each side, If you just want to make one design, move to the STEP 2: Cut the design

8: For our second design, we are going to duplicate each one of the letters:

9: Now we are going to create an offset for each one of our letters:

After creating the offset, you should have something like:

💡Tip: By default offsets are created in black color, but you can change the color to anyone that you like. In our case we are going to change the color to white to letter S.

10: For the second easter word, we are going to cut them in different colors, in our case we are going to use theme cardstock so the different colors are just for guidance and to know that we need to cut them in different mats. You should have something like:

11: Now we are ready to cut all our letters!
