Lesson 4 of 6
In Progress

Step 4: Scoring the Pieces (for Print Then Cut)

If you did the Draw, Score and Cut process, but you noticed that your pieces need more scoring, you can apply this method, if not you can move to the next Step to start assembling your unicorn!

1: We are going to grab one of our pieces and the scoring board. You can use the tool that came with the board or the cricut pen to do the score. You are going to score all the lines from each piece (all the different colors!) you need to have this step done before moving to the assembling part.

The piece should shown as follow to make sure that it’s score properly:

💡Tip: You can use a rules as a guide to hold the piece on it place if needed.

💡Tip 2: Be very gently when scoring, since you can tear the paper if you apply to much pressure.

2: After you scored the piece, you are going to fold over each scoring line, you should have something like:

We suggest doing this with every piece before starting the assembly process.

In this tutorial, you are going to learn/practice the following skills:

  • Print Then Cut
  • Flatten
  • Attach
  • Assemble 3D cuts
  • Score
  • Change colors
  • Upload images
