instructions

Step 1: Creating The Design

1- Open Cricut Design Space on your computer. Sign in with your Cricut ID and password (if you are not already signed in).

2- Click the Canvas tab or + New Project button to open a blank canvas. Then, click Shapes and choose a square. Make sure your machine is set to Cricut Joy.

3- Resize the Squares to 4.74×4.75 or to your insert card size.

4- Turn the square into a guide by changing the Operation to Guide.

5- Choose the images you want to work with. For this tutorial, we are using a heart and diamond shape to give it a playing cards theme.

6- Insert Text and change the font (Dela Gothic One). Type your message (Happy Birthday).

Step 2: Cutting and Weeding The Design

1- Save your project and click Make. Choose your base material (Insert Card Cardstock) and how you will be loading the material (on mat).

2- Follow the on screen instructions. Eject the material and then begin Weeding your project.

Step 3: Assembling Our Design

1- Adhere the glitter cardstock to the cut-out card so that the glitter shows through the cutouts.
