Step 1: Design Our Christmas Sweatshirt Design:

1: First we are going to install the font that we are going to use in our design. In order to do this, you need to download the font that we are providing. After that, follow the steps that are showing on your device in order to finish the installation. 

The font that we are going to use is called: Beautiful Dream

For MacOS, the steps to install the font are:

💡Tip: You need to make sure that Design Space is closed before installing the new font, if not you have to close it and open it again in order to see the font listed on your Fonts types in Design Space.

2-  Then, we are going to open our Cricut Design Space. From the Home Screen, click on the to Right Green Button “New Project”. This is to be able to start creating the design for your project.

3- With the Blank Canvas ready to use, we can start our amazing Project!

4- We are going to start by adding a text using the Text Functionality and we are going to write: merry & bright:

We are going to change the font, for the one that we already installed and is available inside Design Space:

After we changed the font, you should have something like:

5-  Now, we are going to continue by uploading our image that we previously downloaded to our device. 

After you clicked on Upload Image:

After you searched for the file and add it in the image section, you should be able to see something like:

After clicking the continue button, you can add any image information as desired, like change the name or a tag and click on upload button:

After you clicked on Upload, your image is going to be added to the canvas:

6- Now, we are going to proceed by choosing the trees that we wanted to use in our design, you can choose as many trees as you want, in our case, we are going to use 4.

In order to remove the ones that we are not going to use, we are going to click on our trees and then click on the ungroup option:

After ungrouping the image, you should be able to select each tree individually:

7- After you decided the trees that you want to remove, you are going to click on the image of the tree and click on the Delete option:

We decided to use the following trees:

 💡Tip: You can place them in the order that you prefer, and you can change the color by selecting the item and then choosing the color that you may like to use:

8- Now we are going to place our trees and our text together to see how is looking like:

9- Now, in order to resize it, we are going to measure our sweatshirt and calculate how big / small we want the design, in our case our max length is 15”

Based on our max we are going to resize our design:

💡Tip: If the Height measurement is not the desire one, you can adjust it by clicking on the little lock that is showing, after this, the lock is going to be shown unlocked, meaning that you are going to manage the size/dimensions for the W and H independently. 

10- After we resized our design, we can move to start cutting it.

Step 2: Cut Our Design

Before moving any further, we are going to save our design. To do that:

1- Click on Save link on the top right corner of the Design Space and Add a descriptive name and click on Save Green Button.

2- Now that our project is saved, we need to make sure that our right machine is selected, to that, we click on the link next to the Make Green Button and from the options listed, we choose the one that we are going to use. In our case it is the Maker.

3- Let’s start Cutting our Project!!!!! By clicking on Make Green Button.

4- We are going to see on the next page, that we have 1 cut page per color, in our case we are going to have 4 sheets.

We are going to make sure that the mirror option is ON before clicking on continue to browse the material.

5- After we clicked on Continue and we are going to click on Browser Materials, and in there we are going to search for INK:

6- We can start cutting the design. We need to make sure that the color of the sheet is facing up and the glossy part is touching the mat. (Opposite of how you placed vinyl on the mat)

Step 3: Weeding our Design

1- After all the cuts are done, we are going to start weeding our design, first by removing it from the mat, we are going to peel the mat from the material:

2- After we cut all the parts, we should have something like:

3- We are going to use our weeding tool to remove the excess, we need to be very careful because this material tends to brake like paper, so it’s very easy to break the design:

After removing all the excess, you should have something like:

4- After weeding all the parts, you should have:

5-  We are ready to start using our Easy press to transfer our design!

Step 4: Transferring our Design

1-  For infusible Ink, we need to be very careful because the design could transfer to the back part of our sweatshirt. In order to avoid this, we are going to grab a piece of cardboard and a piece of parchment paper and we are going to do the following:

And we are going to place it in the inside of our sweatshirt under the place that we are going to transfer our design:

2- We are going to turn on our Easy press and we are going to set:

Timer: 60 seconds

Temperature: 400 F

3- Now, we are going to start placing our design in the desired place facing the color side down.

4- We are going to transfer the designs in phases so we can ensure that we look at the place that we like.

Before applying the easy press over our design, we are going to place our teflon sheet:

⚠️WARNING: Teflon sheet, and Infusible Ink ARE VERY HOT!

5- We are going to press our design so it transferred, when the timer finished, we are going to remove the teflon sheet by grabbing it with tweezers 

After the material was removed we are going to place the rest of the design and press it one more time:

6- As a last step we are going to press our text:

7- After removing all the material for the infusible ink, our Sweatshirt is DONE! You did an amazing job!!!
