Step 1: Design Our Christmas Sweatshirt Design

1: First we are going to install the font that we are going to use in our design. In order to do this, you need to download the font that we are providing. After that, follow the steps that are showing on your device in order to finish the installation. 

The font that we are going to use is called: Beautiful Dream

For MacOS, the steps to install the font are:

đź’ˇTip: You need to make sure that Design Space is closed before installing the new font, if not you have to close it and open it again in order to see the font listed on your Fonts types in Design Space.

2-  Then, we are going to open our Cricut Design Space. From the Home Screen, click on the to Right Green Button “New Project”. This is to be able to start creating the design for your project.

3- With the Blank Canvas ready to use, we can start our amazing Project!

4- We are going to start by adding a text using the Text Functionality and we are going to write: merry & bright:

We are going to change the font, for the one that we already installed and is available inside Design Space:

After we changed the font, you should have something like:

5-  Now, we are going to continue by uploading our image that we previously downloaded to our device: Christmas Trees

After you clicked on Upload Image:

After you searched for the file and add it in the image section, you should be able to see something like:

After clicking the continue button, you can add any image information as desired, like change the name or a tag and click on upload button:

After you clicked on Upload, your image is going to be added to the canvas:

6- Now, we are going to proceed by choosing the trees that we wanted to use in our design, you can choose as many trees as you want, in our case, we are going to use 4.

In order to remove the ones that we are not going to use, we are going to click on our trees and then click on the ungroup option:

After ungrouping the image, you should be able to select each tree individually:

7- After you decided the trees that you want to remove, you are going to click on the image of the tree and click on the Delete option:

We decided to use the following trees:

 đź’ˇTip: You can place them in the order that you prefer, and you can change the color by selecting the item and then choosing the color that you may like to use:

8- Now we are going to place our trees and our text together to see how is looking like:

9- Now, in order to resize it, we are going to measure our sweatshirt and calculate how big / small we want the design, in our case our max length is 15”

Based on our max we are going to resize our design:

đź’ˇTip: If the Height measurement is not the desire one, you can adjust it by clicking on the little lock that is showing, after this, the lock is going to be shown unlocked, meaning that you are going to manage the size/dimensions for the W and H independently. 

10- After we resized our design, we can move to start cutting it.
