1: After all your elements were removed from the mat, we are going to start assembling our shadow box. We are going to start by assembling our flowers.
For the carnations we are going to use our fingers to add some movement to the petals before assembling them, something like:
Then we are going to start rolling the petals from the outside to the inside, adding a little bit of glue at the beginning (for both flowers is the same):
When you finish rolling, at the end you have a circle, we are going to add glue on the inner part of the circle and we are going to glue it over the rolling section, you should have something like:
The front of the flower should be like:
💡Tip: We added some ink into the borders of the flowers, before assembling them.
2: Once you have all the flowers assembled, we are going to start gluing them into our heart:
💡Tip: We suggest you to wait a couple of minutes between gluing each flower so they are fully glue before you move the next one. Also, after gluing all of them, you can rearrange the petals so the heart is not visible:
3: We are going to assemble the butterflies, we are going to glue only the center of the butterfly, so it generates a little bit of movement and then we are going to place them and glue them inside the box:
4: After cutting the vinyl, we are going to remove the excess:
5: We are going to apply the transfer tape over the text:
We are going apply some pressure over the text to make sure that is going to transfer to the tape and we are going to peel the transfer very gently:
After you remove the transfer tape, you should have something like:
6: We are going to place the transfer tape over the glass of our box:
We are going to apply some pressure with our fingers and you can use the cricut scraper too:
Gently, we are going to start peeling the transfer tape:
💡Tip: When removing the transfer tape, if the text /design was not transferred, stick the transfer tape over the surface and scrub the design one more time, and try again.
7: When you remove all the transfer tape, your shadow box is DONE! You did an amazing job!
