Step 1: Create the Design

1: In order to be able to start our Design, we are going to access our Design 

Space application and in there we are going to click on the + New Project Green button located on the top Right corner of our screen.

2: After we clicked in there, we are going to be able to access our Blank Canvas, in where we are going to start creating our Design:

3: We are going to measure our physical sign in order to add a rectangle with the same measurements in our canvas and we are going to change also the color to the one that we are going to use to paint out physical sign, in our case

4: Using the text functionality, we are going to add the word HOME, but one letter at the time and we are going to change the font to the one that we previously installed:

💡Tip: Remember to have your design space close when installing the font.

5: Using the same font we are going to add one more time the word HOME but now all together:

6: Now adding the word Sweet, we are going to use the second font that we installed:

7: Using shapes functionality, we are going to add a circle, that is going to have the same diameter that our physical wood circle and we are going to change the color to the same one as our rectangle, in our case:

💡Tip: You need to make sure that your physical circle is not bigger (diameter) than the width of your physical wood sign.

8: We are going to start placing the different words and letters over our rectangle and start resizing them. We are also going to change the color of the words and letters to match the permanent vinyl that we are going to use:

💡Tip: You can create an stencil with the same process that we are using if you prefer to paint your letters instead of using vinyl:

9: For the letters, we are going to use the reference to resize them, the wood circle since it’s going to be our O letter and based on that we are going to resize the other letters, in our case:

10: Since our O is going to be the element that is going to be the one changing from one season / occasion to another, we are going to prepare a design for the spring / summer season. So we are going to add

11:  We are going to add a banner with the triangle, in our case with the word happy so we are going to add 5 triangles in total:

12: We are going to resize them making sure that they fit inside our circle:

13: We are going to use the text functionality to write the word Happy, one letter at the time and change it to the Bellarose:

14: We are going to create an offset of each one of the letters:

💡Tip: We are going to use HTV and fabric for the banner, but you can use cardstock and the print then cut option if it’s your preference. The process is the same for both scenarios.

15: We are going to resize the text to make sure that fits inside the triangles:

💡Tip: You can add any other wording, phrase, or design.

16: We are ready to start cutting, but first we need to make sure that we are hiding our circle and rectangle since we are not going to cut them:
